The Democrats of 2012: For Israel, Is the Party Over?

The
Democrats of 2012: For Israel, Is the Party Over?

The party —
certainly the convention — seems firmly under the control of those ambivalent
about, if not outright hostile to, the State of Israel and its people.

Democrats
Undemocratically Bring Back God and Jerusalem

There’s nothing
like trying to reinsert language about God and Jerusalem that you removed and
then tried to put back to fix your broken image, only to be booed by your own
delegates who clearly aren’t fans of either God or Jerusalem… to show the
country what you really stand for.

Jerusalem
And God Vote Gets Booed At Dem Convention

Delegates and members
of the Democratic party booed after former Gov. Ted Strickland (D-OH) discussed
God and moved to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Convention
floor erupts as Dems restore references to God, Jerusalem in
platform

The floor of the Democratic National Convention erupted
Wednesday over a sudden move to restore to the platform a reference to “God” and
recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital — after heavy criticism from
Republicans for initially omitting them. Democrats, though, were hardly in
agreement over the reversal. A large and loud group of delegates shouted “no” as
convention chairman, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, called for the vote
late Wednesday afternoon.

Anti-Christian
Hate Speech Spews From The Palm Beach Dem Chair

Here are a
couple of the offensive comments made by the Palm Beach Democratic Chairman:
“I’m Jewish, I’m not a fan of any other religion than Judaism.” “The worst
possible allies for the Jewish state are the fundamentalist Christians who want
Jews to die and convert so they can bring on the second coming of their Lord.”

Rivlin:
Obama only put J’lem back in platform for votes

The addition of
Jerusalem as Israel’s capital to the Democratic platform does not make up for
the party’s original intentions, Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin said on Thursday
“I have no doubt that [US President Barack] Obama put Jerusalem back in his
party’s platform out of political and electoral considerations and because of
the sharp criticism from Israel and the US,” Rivlin stated.

“Can you imagine, a nation founded on the principles of God is being taken over by a party that despises God, denies God’s existence and wants to stab Israel in the back in order to support the Islamists who would kill the Jews and drive them out of the Middle East?

[Note how they tried to turn thier backpeddling into make Obama the “hero” for “getting it back on the platform”, it of course seems to be backfiring on both sides…]
