Yellowstone Supervolcano Alert: The Most Dangerous Volcano In America Is Roaring To Life
Right now, the ground underneath Yellowstone National Park is rising at a record rate. In fact, it is rising at the rate of about three inches per year. The reason why this is such a concern is because underneath the park sits the Yellowstone supervolcano – the largest volcano in North America. 

Tropical Storm Karen developed in Gulf Coast
According to latest public advisory issued by National Hurricane Center (NHC), the center of TS Karen is located about 400 miles (650 km) S of the mouth of the Mississippi River. The system is moving north-northwestward at speed of 12 mph (19 km/h) with maximum sustained winds at 65 mph (100 km/h). Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km), mainly to the north and east of the center. The latest minimum central pressure measured by the NOAA aircraft was 999 mb (29.50 inches). Some strengthening is forecast in the next day or so and Karen is expected to be at or near hurricane strength in the next 24 to 48 hours.  
Earthquake measuring 5.7 on Richter scale jolts eastern Nepal
Reports from Kathmandu said that there were no news of casualties or damage from the affected areas. The earthquake was recorded in eastern Nepal at 11:57 am on Thursday, according to National Seismological Centre of Nepal.  
Spanish coast hit by waves of earth tremors linked to huge offshore gas storage plant
Thousands of Spanish homeowners on a 200km stretch of Mediterranean coastline have suffered a month of sleepless nights after a wave of minor earthquakes. Many people, including the country’s Minister of Industry, say a massive offshore gas storage plant could be to blame.  
Central quakes produce 10,000 claims
The earthquakes based near Seddon in July and August have generated more than 10,000 Earthquake Commission (EQC) claims and are expected to cost $100 million. It will be one of the largest bills in the organisation’s history.
