Americans
“Ready To Kill” Over Obamacare

Obamacare doesn’t officially kick
off until January 1st, yet millions of Americans are already at each other’s
throats over it. Research from the U.S. Census Bureau shows that the country is
now more divided than any other time in history since the Civil War era. In
fact, 20 states including Texas, Georgia and Louisiana have threatened to
secede.

Lt.
Gov. Dewhurst Says President Obama Should Be Impeached

“I think
this President, Barack Obama, has disregarded federal law. He has tried to do
things which are not authorized under federal law. Things he’s disregarded such
as immigration. He’s not, not following our federal drug laws. And he has
created winners and losers in Obamacare where he has no authority,” according to
Dewhurst, who pointed out the extensions given to unions and big businesses.

Believe What’s Happening to His Health Insurance

My wife and I
just got our updates from Kaiser telling us what our 2014 rates will be. Her
monthly has been $168 this year, mine $150. We have a high deductible. We are
generally healthy people who don’t go to the doctor often. I barely ever go. The
insurance is in case of a major catastrophe. Well, now, because of Obamacare, my
wife’s rate is gong to $302 per month and mine is jumping to $284.

Unions
poised to win delay of ObamaCare tax in budget deal

The bargain
under negotiation would make small adjustments to the healthcare law, including
delaying the law’s reinsurance fee for one year. The three-year tax is meant to
generate revenue that will stabilize premiums on the individual market as sick
patients enter the risk pool. The tax applies to all group health plans, but
unions argue it will raise their healthcare costs while providing them no
benefit. The reinsurance tax figured prominently in discussions at a recent
AFL-CIO convention, where workers passed a resolution demanding changes to
ObamaCare.

Obama’s
leadership proves presidency is no place for amateurs

As usual,
the plain-speaking Truman got it right: presidential power is the power to
persuade. Too bad the current occupant of the White House has never learned this
basic lesson. Obama’s refusal to negotiate with the Republicans in Congress on
the government shutdown is proof once again that he doesn’t understand the first
thing about presidential leadership.
