Biden marginalizes “black helicopter crowd”

Promoting stricter gun control legislation on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden criticized the National Rifle Association for peddling “misinformation” and mocked gun rights supporters, labeling them the “black helicopter crowd.”
“Kinda scary man, the black helicopter crowd is really upset,” Biden said, later claiming that there would be no federal registry for background checks giving the government the ability to keep records on gun owners.
“No way that Uncle Sam can go find out whether you own a gun because we’re about to really take away all your rights and you’re not going to be able to defend yourself and we’re going to swoop down with Special Forces folks and gather up every gun in America,” Biden mocked. “It’s bizarre. But that’s what’s being sold out there.”
Biden went on to say new gun control laws would only “add to the existing system” not require any additional information from gun owners.

This is the same guy that said the following:

“Banning guns is an idea whose time has come.”
— U.S. Sen. Joseph Biden, then-chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, in a Nov. 18, 1993, Associated Press interview.

… and Nazi’s view on the topic:

“Germans who wish to use firearms should join the S.S. or the S.A. — ordinary citizens don’t need guns, as their having guns doesn’t serve the state.”
— Heinrich Himmler
